Good to know
Accessibility
Ordering has to work for everyone: with mouse, keyboard or screen reader, on a big or small phone, for the grandparents and for the volunteer at the door. Here's what we do for that.
Our standard
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, the standard behind the European Accessibility Act (EN 301 549). We test with the keyboard, at 320 pixels wide, at 200 % zoom, and in the light and the dark display.
What we do
Big buttons to choose quantities, forms with labels and error messages in plain language, a clear focus for keyboard users, enough colour contrast, and respect for your device's ‘reduce motion’ setting. The QR code is always next to the details to type over, for those who can't scan. Printed lists are black on white.
Reading comfort
With the button with the little figure at the top you choose larger text, more spacing, a readable font, more contrast, underlined links, less motion or a reading ruler. Your choice is kept on your device. That button replaces nothing: the website also works without it, together with your own device's settings.
What isn't perfect yet
The print previews of tickets and drink cards are made for paper and read less smoothly with a screen reader; the lists on screen (Orders, Kitchen) hold the same information. If something doesn't work for you, let us know.
